Where we come from

Our company was set up in 1963 as a working cooperative, until in 1989 four of its partners took the initiative of turning it into a limited company trading under the name of Alcocertex.

We’re based in Alcocer, a small town in the Alicante mountains, and we’re 1 hour 30 minutes away from the Port of Valencia, the main entry point for our raw materials and from where our goods are shipped to foreign markets.

At present our facilities cover an area of 30,000 m2, 12,000 m2 of which are given over to production plants and warehouses.

Hard work, perseverance and enthusiasm drove us towards our vision for the future, expanding our facilities and modernising our production equipment.

Nowadays we have five modern shredding lines, enabling us to make 22,000 tonnes of shredded fibres in a single year.
